An original soundtrack5
Whilst this soundtrack album is a must for those lucky enough to have seen the film of 'Les Choristes', the music stands on its own as an original composition of great charm. The composor Bruno Coulais, has captured the innocence of the late 1940s with a creative mixture of distinctive tracks. The performance of the choir,'Les Petits Chanteurs de Saint Marc', a mixture of young boys and girls, is faultless and the soloist Jean-Baptiste Maunier has a wonderful soprano voice, heard to great effect on the track 'Vois sur ton chemin'. The film and soundtrack are said to nominated for Oscars. Let's hope that this true and that this wonderful music (great for driving along quiet, French countryside roads) becomes known to many more people.

Fanstastic. FAN tastic. fa nt as tiC.4
A truly beautiful album. All the songs sung in French but the CD booklet carries a suberb translation so you can learn the lyrics and annoy people by singing to yourself in French, and then casually say - oh that means....
If there is a fault with the album it is that there are only three or four main songs, and these are then repeated in various forms in either vocal or orchestral form, and I found myself thinking - hey - I've just heard this one.
Even so - a real treat. I bought the soundtrack from Amazon UK, and when I was familiar with the songs bought the DVD from Amazon France. There are no English sous-titres on this version
but the story of the film doesn't really need them.
5 million French people went to the cinema to see the film, and it has started a revival for choral groups in France.
Do not let this pass you by - even if you do wait for the sub titled UK version of the DVD.

This is a fantistic album, the solo boy singer has a wondeful voice. The main theme is beautiful. I play it over and over in the car. I saw the film at the cinema. and bought the CD the next day I now buying the DVD
