Customer Reviews
It's awesome and addictive!
This game might not have all the depth and complication some others might, but that's why it's so fantastic! It's addictive, and one of the best games i've ever played or owned. Even after completing a game, you can start again, with the same characters, at more advanced levels, new weapons and generally just keep kicking enemy butt! :P The graphics are great, the story is straightforward and simple, without being boring or dragged out. It's definately one to get addcited to!
A POINTLESS SEQUEL
I own the first Champions game and getting this, I expected newer, better things. How wrong I was. The original champions game is a brilliant little hack and slash in the vein of baldurs guides and slight changes to each playable classes there is not one ounce of difference to the first game.
I can see no point in the release of this game - not one. Sequels are supposed to be better, in graphics, story, playabilty and new options or changes.
I strongly recommend getting the first and leave it at that. If you want to do the same things again and again but on a different game by all means buy this.
Indeed to strongly rank up your character to an achievable level where you can tackle the much harder seetings it will take close to 40hrs. But this is the problem why bother you did that in the first game?
So I rank this game above average on fun as its exactly the same as the first game, but overall I can see no point in buying it if you have the first game and just see it as a very poor effort in trying to improve a good game.In my view buy either Game 1 or Game 2 and you'll be happy either way.
very shoddy stuff
They claim this game has over '100 hours' of play, 'per character'. The idea of someone playing a rehashed game such as this for over 600 hours is ludicrous.
I'll admit that, being a fan of the true RPG genre, I have a general biased against games that are pure hack n slash.
This game however feels more like a beta version, a working title.
Despite good graphics, class selection and a fun multiplayer mode, the game's repetative nature and non-existent story soon negate these good points.
