Kingston's SD (Secure Digital) memory cards are the latest generation memory devices that offer an incredible combination of high storage capacity, fast data transfer rates, great flexibility and excellent security in a memory card about the size of a postage stamp. Based on nonvolatile memory components and encased in a protective molding, they do not require power to retain the information stored on them. Since they are based on solid-state components, they have no moving parts to skip or break down, making them highly reliable. The SD standard provides an easy method for quickly downloading and transferring secure digital files from your computer or the Internet. By using a SD Reader (such as Kingston's FCR-U2MMC/SD or FCR-U26/1) it is also possible to upload files from your SD card to your computer. As the latest introduction in the competitive Flash Memory form factor, SD is an increasingly popular format for leading manufacturers of digital devices like, MP3 players, digital cameras and PDAs. Because of its small foot print SD makes it easy for device manufacturers to integrate expansion capability into ever smaller devices.

Customer Reviews
Brilliant, does just what you need for a pretty price.
It is amazing how the price of SD cards has fallen over the years, and this little beauty is one of those little marvels that comes with a brilliant price while being a very good product.
I have had this card for over two months now and it has not shown to present date a single problem. I use SD cards with my iPAQ, storing a very wide range of data from word files to pdf files and even film clips. I currently have five episodes of Friends stored on the card, which comes in very handy when I am stuck on the train between towns. The data transfer rate is superb, even though the films are of a high bit rate there is no stalling in the video playback. Overall this is another superb SD card by Kingston that I have acquired(I already have two other cards made by the company), and I believe that I will be getting another one soon (got an eight hour flight ahead of me, and the onboard movie is bound to be rubbish). All in all, five stars for this little charm.
It's a 1GB SD card - it does what it says on the tin.
For this price, you could buy backups if you want. No need though - SD cards are simply fantastic and this dropping price is simply amazing. Buy one, off you go... simple as that.
Like mentioned by another reviewer, I feel CityLink are very poor at what they do.
Excellent Item but very poor courier service city link and amazon does nothing about it
This is a brilliant SD card and i have purchased lot of them. Not a single one has failed. Works fine with all SD card compliant devices. especially good for SAT NAV system. But the biggest problem is with the courier delivery service - Amazon has switched to City Link recently and they are THE WORST courier service i have ever known. In fact they are not only rubbish but outright cheats and liars. I have had problems with all consignments and inspite of waiting at home all day ( 6 times ) , the driver never turned up but the city link website showed " Customer not at home , to arrange delivery " . What a bunch of liars they are. To get them on phone is next to impossible. Once i was left on hold for 45 min !!! . Just today ( 22Dec2006 ) had to go to depot to collect another of the non delivered items. It took 4 city link staff 1 hr to finally locate my parcel. And there were around 40 unlucky people like me waiting at the depot , some for more than 2 hrs to get their parcels.. !!!! City link is awful and plain waste of time.
ANd more worrying is that inspite of contacting Amazon repeatedly over this issue, they have done nothing and still ship my parcels through city link. It is really disappointing that amazon customer service inspite of being polite is really impotent and cannot do anything. Seems like everything is automated and customer feedbacks have no impact on them.
So if you are planning to buy this then make sure that your shipment does not go through City Link
