Manufacturer's Description
The year is 1989 and deep in the sweltering heat of the Mayan jungle, camouflaged among the Inca ruins, Ernesto Cruz catches his breath for a few moments and admires his handiwork, bodies strewn across the temple ruins, as he makes a last gasp effort to board a DEA plane to take him to safety. He never made it home, the tragic victim of an alleged 'OVERDOSE'.

Two weeks ago Ernesto's son, Ramiro Cruz is hauled out of jail by the DEA to be told his twin brother, Tommy, works for them as an undercover agent and has some new information about their father's death. But, Tommy has had an accident with a hand grenade and now Ramiro must take his brother's place in an undercover operation closing in on the ruthless drug cartel overlord Papa Muerte.

Through stylized Mexican neighbourhoods and jungle hide-outs to the swanky Californian coast; Total Overdose is an over-the-top, adrenalin-fuelled, free-style action, 3rd person cinematic adventure with a strong whiff of tequila.

Crash cars, steal hats, shoot bad guys with style, jump bikes, fight in the street, meet girls, shoot more bad guys, find your fathers killer, hot-wire tractors, eat Burritos, catch planes, drink tequila; the Mexican heat can make people do the strangest things.

Excellent game5
If anyone out there is in 2 minds as to whether they ought to buy this game or not, BUY IT! This game totally rocks! It's not as polished as any of the GTA series (3 onwards), but still offers unstructured free roaming GTA style gaming. For instance, when you drive a car at speed, it seems to change gear over and over again as though its got a never ending gearbox. GTA cars have a sound which matches their speed. But this certainly isn't a bad point.
The special moves that can be performed are very easy to learn (and damn handy too!)and immersing yourself in the game is easy and very quick.
In short, this game is basically another GTA style free roaming game that will have you addicted to it in mere minutes. Well worth the money and definately deserves 5 stars.

One for all you GTA Gamers...4
From the moment I put this in my Xbox DVD tray I knew it was going to be a cracker. Intense gunfights, GTA style free-roaming, and the loco moves... This is quite simply one of the best games for sale at the moment. I do have a couple of problems with it though.

1. It's just a bit too short. Don't get me wrong, I mean there are hundereds of side missions and hidden items to collect and do, but the main story missions took me only two days.
2. It's a little bit buggy. Such as when you catch a taxi, when you arrive at your destination and get out, the taxi has been replaced a different car.
Aside from these, it is an amazing game, with loads of cool moves, jokes and places to explore. From me it gets an 86%, purely because it's destruction aspect is overshadowed by Mercenaries. But this is definately a must have and a great, and very fun game to play.
I bought it, so should you. ^_^

this game is AMAZING!!5
This game is brillient.after playing and completing all the grand theft auto games i thought nothing could beat it....then this game came along.it is better than any other free roam/action shooter games ever made.i would recomend this game to any one who has a good taste of games.

you can pull of loads of cool combos in missions or just have fun hanging around the cities and deserts, jungles and towns.

if you are not sure about getting it i can reassure you that you will love it...it truelly is an amazing game!
