Excellent
I bought this album largely on the basis of the excellent reviews on Amazon.com - there seem to be no reviews on Amazon.co.uk - and I wholly endorse the reviewers' universally positive views - this is a marvellous album, heartfelt, lyrical, gutsy, great melodies, with a lot to say. It beautifully captures the point at which folk and country come together. I can't imagine anyone not loving this. Buy it....
Others have singled out various tracks for praise, but my favourites here are "No Higher Ground" (a movingly heartfelt take on hurricanes) and "I Love It When She Lies". The only mystery to me is, why is Greg Trooper not better known?
