CD Description
It's somewhat ironic that 112's first parental-advisory album sticker would come after leaving the umbrella of Bad Boy Entertainment. However, that's not to imply that 112 have altered or toughened their style in any manner. PLEASURE & PAIN, sharing its name with a track off the foursome's 1996 debut, contains more of the sensitive, impassioned, consummately clean-cut love songs that made the act famous. (The warning sticker actually stems from relatively polite guest raps from Three 6 Mafia, T.I., and Jermaine Dupri.)
For loyal fans of 112, PLEASURE & PAIN certainly won't disappoint, as the Atlanta quartet delivers more of their tender R&B/gospel love odes, with a couple of sufficiently danceable up-tempo numbers thrown in for good measure. The men of 112 relate tales of love in a mature, all-encompassing manner; few R&B groups would have the inner strength to express the phrases ofself-doubt and reflection ("What If") or wisdom ("Let This Go") presented here. 112 can as effectively pull off the luxuriously funky "U Already Know" as they pledge eternal dedication on "Nowhere". With PLEASURE & PAIN, 112 continues to exhibit a flair for heartfelt, impassioned, introspective songs of devotion.

Another Brilliant Album by 112
This album is absolutely brilliant!!! All of the songs are excellent, my favorites are: 'Last to Know', 'U Already Know' and 'My Mistakes'. There are no weak songs and each song is different with good lyrics and well produced. I've had the CD since it was relased in March and I still listen to it all the time. I would definately recommmend it to anyone who loves R&B. 112 are really underated and they definately deserve more recognition because they have been around for 10 years making good music and they are the best R&B group with 5 great albums-all of which are brilliant too! Also they all really can sing well and are very talented so I strongly recommend to anyone who has not heard of 112 and all the 112 fans to go and buy the CD for yourself-you will not be disappointed!
More Like It
'Pleasure & Pain' is 112's fifth album, and for all of those 112 fans out there, they need no introduction. Having said that, their last album 'Hot & Wet' was a major disappointment, and I was hoping for a return to their normal high standards with this installment.
And I have to say that, yes, they are back to their high standards with this album. They've gone back to their winning formula of mostly love ballads. There are several noteworthy songs on this album. 'U Already Know' is their current single and of course is fantastic. 'If I Hit' featuring T.I. is a great track, and I'm sure it'll be a massive club banger this summer, as it mixes 112's style with T.I.'s crunk. 'Let This Go' and 'What If' are other songs I liked too. Amongst the slower songs, 'Nowhere', 'My Mistakes', 'Why Can't we get along', 'That's how close we are', and 'God Knows' are very soulful, soothing tunes. The track called 'The Way' with Jermaine Dupri, I have to say was a bit of a let down.
All in all, if you like your slow, soulful R&B music then this is a 112 album in its classic form, although it's not quite as good as the best. But certainly much better than 'Hot & Wet'.
Flawless beats, lyrics, and vocals. A must have for RnB fans
A huge improvement on their previous album; Hot & Wet. Taking a few ideas from their very first album; 112 and giving them a contemporary feel. Theres no lacking on any hip-hop style tracks or chillout ballads they're famous for. Out of the seventeen tracks on the album theres probably only 4 average type songs you would expect from any album.
They produced most of the album by themselves, with some input from Jermaine Dupri. Raising the standard of music to that of their album; Part 3, made under the 'Bad Boy' label. Part 3, in my opinion is probably the best R n'B album ever made, and this new album has all the signs of being the same, namely; beats, lyrics and the variety of music, from soul to hip-hop.
I was dissapointed that the album wasn't marketed very well as a lot of R n'B fans don't even realise an album is out, which is a great shame.
look out for tracks 6) Nowhere
7) Last To Know
9) My Mistakes
17) God Knows
Enjoy the album ;)
