It sounds less than mediocre to me !!!!
I have been a fan since their "Moonlighting" album (I have them all), but after hearing the "Let It Ripp" disaster, I figured they would come back strong. I was sadly mistaken. The latin flavour is OK, but it seems to have consumed their focus, making all their music sound exactly the same. I used to buy their albums sight unseen, but those days are over. This will be the first Rippingtons CD I will not buy. I borrowed it from a friend,I listened to it one time and thought "Man, I've heard this before - it's called "Let It Ripp", and I refuse to get "ripped" again!"
What a waste!
Another Great Album
What can you say - another great album - definitely Rippingtons. It's all there - cool tunes, great arrangements, consummate performances and excellent production. I have a fair few Rippingtons albums and like the others, this one will be doing many, many revolutions in the CD player.
