wwf storied wrestlemanias roll on4
ah back in the day. wm5 has over a dozen matches although a lot of them are boring but its still worth watching. wm6 is famous for not only warrior and hogan but other instances, more later.

wm5 couldnt have had a worse opener. hercules and king haku square off, no one cares! maybe a longer version of the blazer/perfect match could have gone here. next up is a match which would have been a good opener. twin towers bulk vs the speed of the rockers. can the 400lb monsters outmuscle the young upstarts?

brutus the barber then squares off against the million dollar man in an average bout. will the barber snip the millionaires locks or is the barber gonna pay the price? next up is the kiss of death for the fabolous rougeou brothers as they job to the bushwhackers. so much for your heel turn!

the blue blazer(aka owen hart) then goes one on one with the undefeated mr perfect. solid match but had this been the early 90s when hart was getting pushed this would have been a 20 minute classic. as it is the wwf is more interested in 300 lb monsters so this lasts about 6 mins. a longer match would have been excellent.

there is a lot of editing here which cuts out segments with jesse ventura, mr fuji, demolition and the powers of pain. the latter 3 mentioned are then involved in the next match which is for the tag titles as powers of pain team with demos former manager fuji to take on tag champs demolition. at the time a lot of people couldnt wait for this bout but its nothing special. but can the powers finally land the gold or are demolition about to continue their year long reign at the top at the very arena they won their titles in?

next is another bore as ronnie garvin battles dino bravo, next please!

and the next bout is one of the matches of the night. the strike force team of rick martel/tito santana reform after one year apart. they go up against the crafty team of the brain busters but will bobby heenans busters be too clever for the reformed duo or is this a winning return for the former champs one year after losing the gold?

then roddy piper returns to the wwf following a 2 year absence as we get a dose of both the brother love show and pipers pit. special guest morton downey junior should have a lot to say. next up we see big john studd referee a match between his wm1 opponent andre the giant and jake roberts. can big john keep these warriors from tearing each other apart?

another tag match highlights the depth of tag team talent at the time as former intercontinental champs greg valentine and honky tonk man (rhythm and blues) take on the hart foundation. not one of brets best booked matches but again not exactly painful to watch (bret hart is involved so its atleast gonna be someway good).

rick rude then goes for IC gold against the ultimate warrior, can the brain and rude outsmart the warrior or is the champ gonna stay undefeated. their matches at summerslam 89 and 90 were far better (although again this was edited as the commentators refer to a pinfall that wasnt even shown). when you talk about ugly matches here though you have to mention jim duggan and bad news brown. youll miss nothing here. or with the match between bobby heenan and the red rooster(why that match was given a wrestlemania spot i dont know).

next up the mega powers explode as former friends macho man and hulk hogan square off for the macho mans title. many regard this as hogans best ever match. and for that we have savage to thank (did savage really excel at wm or what?) and how will their lovely valet elizabeth view it all.

on to wm6
standard opener with koko and martel is followed by a tagtitle bout with andre/haku defending against demolition.can the demos bring the gold home for the 3rd time and leave wm for the 3rd time running with the belts (crowd love this). next is earthquake and hercules, is herc just more cannon fodder for the 470 pound monster?

moving on brutus the barber tries to end the unbeaten record of the man who broke his ribs at the royal rumble mr perfect, or will the genius screw everything up for the barber? another bad news brown brawl then sticks its nose in in a match with roddy piper NEXT

hart foundation take on the bolshevikes, blink and youll miss it, so soon after its bobby the brains new man the barbarian against tito santana(barbie still has his powers of pain gear despite the team splitting).

next is machoman/sherri vs rhodes/sapphire, NEXT the orient express (fujis new team) take on the rockers. is it to be a winning start for Fuji? the jake the snake vs dibiase is next, can jake the snake win the million dollar belt? meanwhile another split tag team the twin towers meet next. big boss man vs akeem which is kept short thankfully.

a forgettable bushwhackers/honky tonk man segment occurs before rick rude takes on the legendary jimmy snuka. finally we get ic champ ultimate warrior vs world champ hulk hogan winner takes all bout. these 2 pull off a great match. the warrior finally destroys hulkamania but this match is so special (as is the end) that words cant describe

worth watching for nostalgic purposes.
