Customer Reviews
A label named Sue
Formed in 1957 the Sue label clocked up a few hits up to 1966 by which time the name had been assumed by a U K collectors' label.By that time it had become Symbol and Eastern and charted with Tina Britt's The real thing.
The label was licensed in the U K to Decca up to 1962 after which product was issued by its U K namesake.
Sue was the first label to issue an Ike & Tina Turner record and among the obscure names was one Ocie Smith who would make the top 5 in 1968 with the country song Son of Hickory Holler's Tramp
