Does what it says on the tin5
Have tried this out with normal SKY satelitte and a DVD player that are downstairs in the corner of the lounge - sending upstairs to a bedroom 15m or so away through fairly thick walls and it works a treat.
Pictures are very clear and only rarely had interference which was cured by changing to one of the other 3 channels you can select on the boxes. Sound is also very good and ace that you can use the remote control for whatever you've got it plugged into downstairs.
At just over £40 its very recommended.
P.S Remember to point the sides with the chevrons at each other : )

a very good unit5
i bought this item elsewhere but thought it worthy of a review. it is the best videosender in this price bracket. i tested this against the thomson, philips, AV sender and AEI digisender (all on the argos site) and this was the best. it had the clearest reception by a reasonable margin. it has directional paddle antennas which help improve reception. and transmits remote control info back to main unit.

i need to point out that this unit won't really penetrate (with a good picture, you'll get a watchable picture though) more than 3 thick walls (none of them will). i've got a large edwardian (6 bedroomed) house with thick walls (+wi-fi, telephone etc) and this unit did transmit through a few walls with reasonable picture but not throughout the whole house. i mainly use it on a small bedroom TV (downstairs to upstairs and through 1 wall) and I have perfect picture. i did try it on my large 30+ inch TV and it gave reasonable picture through 2 thick walls. you can also get a 10m scart (very cheap off ebay) which can be useful for positioning antennae better.

i would imagine if you have plasterboard walls this unit should work easily through out the whole house.

for it's price it's and excellent unit and it is significantly better than the other units i compared it with.

it also has a choice of 4 channels which is very useful. with wi-fi, telephones etc i found channel 2 much better than others. i presume if you donlt have choice of channels you could have problems.

Works well enough4
I use this in a house with WiFi, Baby monitor and cordless phones. It's on a 23 inch LCD TV which is suspended from the ceiling. The Transmitter is on a DVD player in the same room - only 20 feet away and only a wooden wardrobe in between.

Setup was very easy and it works straight out the box. The picture is ok as is the sound - certainly good enough for my bedroom. I found Channel 1 and 2 to be ok but 3 and 4 were not usable as something in the house was causing interference.

It's not as good as a plain scart lead though. There is some hiss and crackle - it's very quiet and not intrusive, and there is the occasional noise line. The picture is good enough but if you're critical, it loses a bit of sharpness, the colours are a bit less vibrant and there is a hint of interference causing some very faint wavy-ness which underlies the image. It is very faint though and I found I didn't notice it in normal viewing unless I looked for it.

On the whole, it's great value, works well and is good enough for the bedroom or kitchen, but not really for a serious AV setup.
