Meet the Man Behind the Velvet Voice:5
Matt Monro, a Portrait of: If you know Matt Monro you'll really enjoy this depiction of his life; if you are just discovering Matt (as am I), this is a wonderful introduction to a warm, loving man who sings from his heart and touches yours. Walk along the path to fame with him, this movie captures his loving persona, and the struggles and victories involved in his life and success. Also, featured are some previously unreleased performances along with songs you already know and love.

You'll appreciate watching this portrait of a man whose voice can never be duplicated, who will move you and warm your heart with his passionate voice, perfect pitch and wide vocal range, all this and it's an engaging story too.

This is a must buy for Matt Monro fans, although some of the dvd is personal home movies, the biography style of disc is informative and a rare insight into the whole family, plus some obvious television appearances ,having this disc to remember his live performances has wetted my appetite to await my copy of the only recorded live performance in Australia which I was privelleged to be present at in Melbourne in 1967.
I thoroughly recommend this dvd and am sorry neither of these have or appear to be released in Australia, many of the favoutire Matt Monro hits are performed and relive the fine outstanding entertainer we lost when he could have gone on to entertain us for many years to come.
Although some of the early segments on the disc are old it still does not deter me from enjoying it immensly.
