Quality optical cable upgrade
This optical cable does exactly what it should-transfers sound from source to amplifier with the minimum amount of fuss. I previously used a cable that came in the box with my minidisc, which was very flimsy and much too short. This cable has neither of those issues, it is flexible (so you don't have to worry about breaking the optic's inside) and easily long enough to reach from a TV to your amp. You could spend a lot more on an optic cable for not much benefit, unless you have a fantastic system I would recommend getting a cheap one if you can.

Overall a very good product at a price which is difficult to resist.

good but confusing picture
just received it but cant try it yet. quality looks good enough... however, only includes one 3.5mm adaptor (not 2 as shown in the picture). i only needed one anyway so its fine for me.

A Great Cabled yor your PS3, your Sky, your Virgin Media and your Xbox360
If you have a surround sound Amp and one of the following;

PS3
Sky
Virgin
Xbox360

Then you can use these cables to connect them to your Amp (as long as it has Optical inputs). The cables come with an adapter which I've had had to use yet but looks just like the type of connection my old Sony Minidisc had.

If you've spent a lot of money on a flat screen TV and a surround sound system, make the most of it by making sure you get the surround sound experience from your programs and video games.

Not all channels broadcast a 5.1 signal but a good Amp will be able to upmix the signal it receives to allow sound to come from all speakers. It does come into its own when playing computer games or watching Blu-Rays on the PS3. I'd recommend 'The Lobby Scene' from the Matrix to give a real example of how 5.1 can really boost the enjoyment of a film.

Other reviews have said that the length is un-important. I'd have to disagree as I find that the length offered by many is only 0.6m which is ok if everything is stacked on top of each other but if you have your Amp a little away from the V+ and the PS3 then having a long cable is a life saver. There is nothing worse than trying to either get a cable as stretched as possible so it reaches from Amp to device or having your device/amp location dictated by length of cable!

This isn't the cheapest optical cable but also its not the most expensive. It comes with an adapter which you don't always get with cheaper cables. 4 out of 5 stars. It is only dropping 1 mark as I think they could have saved on Packaging on the cable (it is in a hard plastic case) but also it was posted in the largest box I've ever seen! Luckily the box could be recycled!
