Customer Reviews

Timi's favourite album5
Apparently this was her favourite album, and the only one she recorded for Mercury.
Very different from any other album she ever recorded, and with a much more "adult" feel to it. She does several standards, but one song that stands out is "All I Need Is You" which was worthy of a single release. As usual, she sings her heart out on each song, but the album isn't typical of her work, and wouldn't be one to buy to listen to her for the first time
Personally her album "make The World Go Away" was the best she ever recorded, but is now unavailable.
This lady knew how to sing the blues, and it was such a shame that she didn't get to record with the Stax/ Volt empire, as she would have shaken them by their roots!
This is still an excellent album, and hasn't dated due to the fact standards don't do that.
She was an amazing artiste who never got the recognition she deserved. Such a great shame

Blue eyed soul5
Not typical of Timi''s work as this is a very adult album as you might call it. She does several standards, and her voice soars above the orchestra. This was her only album with Mercury, and deflects from her more soulful material, although the little lady sings her guts out. It's an album to just sit and listen to, and marvel at her voice.
Her albums on Liberty vary,as she sings blues, pop,but mostly heartbreaking songs.
She should have been such a huge star, but sadly suffered from cancer for several years until this evil disease took her from us.
How such a talent was relatively unknown is beyond me

what a singer!!5
This Cd is one for the collection! The songs are heartbreakers and timi has such a wonderful voice. I can't believe she never made it bigger then she did. The track 'Turn the world around the other way' is truly one of the best songs she ever sang. Worth every penny!!
