Missed Opportunity2
As a big Lions fan I felt this was a huge disappointment. John Inverdales presentation was flat and with Clem Thomas and Jonathon Davies making the panel ther was a real bias towards Welsh players.

The format is to go through each position from prop to full back and decide on the best Lions team ever. This is always subjective and clearly the bulk of the side was going to be drawn from the golden days of 1971 and 1974.

The selections are not the problem here - the format and pace is poor. A shortlist was drawn up from votes to a web site. The usual problems exist here - short memory.

This is further compounded by the film footage shown in support of the players - it is usually Lions footage but too often it is Baa Baas or national team footage. It doesn't make a compelling case for an armchair selector to understand what a player did for the Lions to warrant selection.

Neither does the pace does not represent the worlds most exiting game.

Dull.
