Editorial Reviews

CD Description
In 2000, 3 Doors Down achieved major success by adding a rough-and-ready Southern-rock edge to angsty Creed-style neo-grunge. With its third album, SEVENTEEN DAYS, the Mississippiband strips its sound down even further, often adding a grinding, metallic edge. "Right Where I Belong" begins with a de-tuned, serpentine riff that is equal parts Soundgarden andSuperjoint Ritual, while "Let Me Go" is a dark, mid-tempo groover reminiscent of Staind's biggest radio hits. "Landing in London" is a weary life-on-the-road ballad that recalls both Kiss's "Beth" and Bob Seger's "Turn the Page", and, in fact, features the Michigan rocker on guest vocals. A collection of memorable songs that finds frontman Brad Arnold addressing themes of alienation and strained relationships in a Ronnie Van Zant-like whiskey-soaked voice, SEVENTEEN DAYS should appeal to those fans who like their arena rock deep-fried.

Customer Reviews

Excellent album!5
When i bought this album, i was worried, because when an artist releases an album as good as away from the sun as 3 doors down have, the following album normally can never live up to your expectations, but in my opinion this is as good if not better than away from the sun. There are so many great tracks, 'its not me' 'landing in london', 'let me go' they are all good. And to top it off, you get bonus tracks like the brilliant 'here without you' and 'away from the sun' and 'let me go' all in acoustics. Definately recommended!

Awesome Album!!5
Well 3 Doors Down have done it again! this album is quality! I was inspired to buy this album after hearing 'Let Me Go' which itself is an amazing track then but on hearing the rest of the album I was very impressed! The album has no bad track on it as such and i can play through the whole album without having to skip or repeat. the other songs that stand out are 'Landing in London', 'Father's Son', 'Its Not Me' and my personal favourite 'Be Somebody' in which appreciation for the lyrics must be given. Seventeen Days by 3 Doors Down is highly recommended.

Not as good as3
Apart from the thounderous opening track & landing in london with bob segar this is a very average album. The tracks sound similar, not a patch on their better life album

I would recommend anybody who's thinking of purchasing this album to listen to it on spotify or via some other means first.
