Customer Reviews
Lady Stardust really can sing
2005 was a good year for new female singer-songwriters with superb offerings from Beulah & Tara Blaise, as well as a good follow-up album from the superb Katie Melua. This album from Lisa Miskovsky is really excellent.More laid back and somewhat similar to Beulah, every song is very listenable and pleasant.Lisa is also an accomplished musician as well as an excellent singer and songwriter.Another excellent album and worth a place in anyone's CD collection.Recommended.
not as new as you think!
This is a lovely album from Swede Lisa, with the Swedish hit "Brand New Day" a particular stand out track among many fine songs. But just one thing: she is not a new artist for 2005! Her eponymous debut album came out in Scandinavia in 2001 while the much better Falling Water was originally released 2003. The second album features much better performances and stronger song writing, and the 2005 re-release features a couple of bonus tracks to boot. Hopefully the repackaging and new marketing drive will boost her popularity outside of Scandinavia and encourage her to bring out a genuinely new album with material as strong as this one.
Gorgeous Voice
I saw Lisa as a support act to Rob Thomas' UK tour. I really liked her and I was not disappointed when i bought the album, this is now one of my favourite albums. It is so easy to listen to and all the songs are great, I love Lady Stardust and Butterfly Man. Its a really good album to relax to.
