5.1 million pixels and a bright autofocus lens mean that high-quality images from the C-180 are assured. A 4x digital zoom permits close ups, and a choice of 7 scene programmes mean that even complete beginners will have no problems producing great shots in tricky situations. A 14MB internal memory means that users will never be caught without memory, but if that's not enough it can also easily be expanded using the additional xD-Picture Card slot.

You don't have to be a digital whizz to get the full benefit from the C-180. PictBridge support allows images to be printed via compatible printer without the need for a computer. Users also have a choice of power supply - either 2 AA batteries or a CRV-3 cell - meaning that they'll never have to worry about running out of power in unusual places, or worry about carrying a recharging unit wherever they go.

Olympus quality and simple to use
Owning a Nikon Digital SLR I wanted a point and shoot camera that my wife could put in her handbag. This is simple to use with a basic point and shoot facility yet has other modes including a movie feature, landscape mode, sport mode etc.
You will need a XD Picture card to go with the camera and the branded olympus card is the only one that supports the panoramic feature of this (and other) Olympus cameras.
The camera does not have any optical zoom facility but at this price (under £100) this is a quality product with excellent picture quality by a trusted manufacturer. To have scored the full 5 stars it would have need the XD card supplied with it.
