Amazon.co.uk Review
In a nutshell:
The ultimate evolution of virtual pet: Nintendogs gives you opportunity to preen and look after a selection of cute puppies in a virtual home, with virtual currency, where you can buy toys and accessories for their enjoyment. You can clean the pups, feed them, walk them, play catch with them, and even talk to them.
The lowdown:
Nintendogs is brimming with character. Each pup looks out from the DS touchscreen and paws longingly. You can respond to your virtual pet's need of attention by stroking the screen, using items such as balls and brushes with the aid of the stylus, and talking to your dogs through the DS's inbuilt microphone system. Impressive 3D graphics give lifelike animation to these canine wonders.
Most exciting moment:
After a few attempts to speak commands into the microphone, your puppy understands the meaning of "sit", barks approval, and sits down. It's good to talk.
Since you ask:
You can keep three pups in your home at any time. When left to their own devices, they'll play and play-fight together. And they call this 'puppy love'.
The bottom line:
A Nintendog is not just for Christmas.

good at first but after a while.....
I have had this game for about a year but after the first 3 weeks I got bored stiff. The competitions are good at first but then all of a sudden you get really bored of it as there is not a lot to do. The walks are very boring they don't even look real, whenever your dog picks up presents they are always the same ones. When the dogs are eating they don't even look as if they are eating, they look as if they are eating the bowl. So the graphics aren't the best! So if your planning to buy it I would not recommend it, buy another game such as mario kart (which is my favourite).
nintendogs-the best!
well, i was a little apprehensive when i bought this game, i just thought it was gonna be one of those boring tamagotchi type games, but my little brother had the labrador verison and it was great, so i bought this one and boy does it not disappoint! the graphics are superb! you choose your first puppy and play with it or groom it, or go on walks and enter competitions with it! and if you have enough money then you can purchase 7 other dogs! you unlock more interior designs and new breeds in the kennel, once your trainer points go up a lot. ive kinda only just scratched the surface, but im telling you, if you are thinking of getting this game, STOP THINKING! and buy it! cos its incredible!
SOOOOOOOO CUTE!
I love whoever made this game! The dogs are so cute and the graphics are amazing! However there are em.... no down sides about this game! You can take your dogs for walks, enter contests, play with them and visit other dogs on bark mode. Unfortunitly they can't have puppies. They never fall ill or die. But if you don't look after them properly they'll run away! But they might come back with a present! The kennels get new dogs in stock now and again.
At the start of the game it gets annoying because you have to teach your dog its name and how to sit. You can have up to 8 dogs. BUY THIS GAME!!!!!
