Makes me want to dance (gently mind you).......
When I first heard this I couldn't stop listening to 'Laissez moi en paix' it is just fabulous, it very gently uplifts you with simple, beautiful harmony. The rest of the CD is very nice too, its quite a mixture with bits of gentle jazz and even some renaissance classical undertones in places.
Ludovico Einaudi and Ballake Sissoko describe themselves as friends who made each other a gift of their music and I think this attitude really resonates in the harmonies - it's friendly and very beautiful.
Why isn't it heard more?
This is as good as anything Einaudi has recorded. Maybe I have just been unlucky and missed it but I am surprised I have never it played on Classic FM. It really deserves to be up there at the top of the play list.
