Editorial Reviews
From the Label
Since their formation in 1990 The Prodigy have released four albums, numerous singles, been Number 1 in 27 countries simultaneously with their incomparable Fat Of The Land masterpiece (still one of the fastest selling albums of all time), toured the world with their incendiary live show, made groundbreaking videos, shaken things up musically and socially and been unafraid to court controversy. And they've always done it in their own formidable way, as highlighted on Their Law - The Singles 1990-2005.
Customer Reviews
this is what prodigy is all about!!
what a greatest hits compilation!!, usually with greatest hits compilations there are a few dud tracks on them, NOT THIS ONE, i have loved the prodigy for years, there music started as classic rave/dance and now has developed in to a genre all on its own, every tune on this album is very distinct and everybody will of heard the firestarters, breathe, out of space, poison etc so i dont need to tell you how good they are, its the re worked tracks of voodoo people and charly that stand out on disc one they sound so fresh, if you buy this album i definatly suggest u buy the 2 disc set as the new tracks razor and back to school are fantastic full of the prodigy energy they install in all there tracks and there are sum really good
remixes and sum great live performances on there 2 which as any prodigy fan will tell u is what prodigy do best kick it live!!!, all in all i dont think you can own a better greatest hits compilation, well done prodigy boys!!
amazing songs - amazing times
mind blowing classics from one of the biggest groups of all time, i reccomend listening to it very very wasted/out of it. quality buy!
Classic old skool choons
Unfortunately I'm just slightly too young to fully remember the rave scene of the early 90s, but a lot of the music lives on. One of the things that always annoyed me about Prodigy though... the versions of the tracks on the albums were often completely different to the mixes that you'd heard on the singles.
Fortunately they seemed to stop doing this by the time Fat Of The Land came out, but by that time it was impossible to get hold of the single mixes of classics like "Everybody In The Place", "Poison" and of course "Charly". I'm told that "Prodigy Experience" was available with a limited edition CD with the single mixes, but I was never able to find this.
This compilation has almost redeemed that failure. Here we have the proper single mixes of all the classic Prodigy tracks... with one notable exception. The track "Fire" is missing.
Other than this though, great.
