Solid and Dependable

Compact
The Manfrotto 680B does not extend as high as i would like (i am almost 2m tall); but it does collapse into something small enough that i can put it in my suitcase.

Unlike my more sophisticated gas strut model (Manfrotto Neotec Monopod W/Safety Lock) whenever i go overseas it goes with me. Its size alone wouldn't warrant the dent in my weight allowance; the monopod is rigid when extended and the clips seem strong and able to stand up to knocks which makes it a great monopod.

better than anticipated
I have mobility problems which result in me being a little unsteady when standing. When taking photographs with teelphoto lenses I have found this item to be a blessing also as it is so sturdy it can double up as a walking aide.
