Only buy if you only own a psp
Before i start, i must admit to not expecting a faithful port of the superb console versions. i wasn't disappointed.
Don't get me wrong, if you only have a psp then this is the street racing game for you, but if you own a ps2 or xbox then go for the home console versions. This is purely because of the sense of speed. the psp just cannot convey the same feeling of extreme speed that home consoles can, pure and simple. theres no motion blur, lots of other effects are missing like damage, certain weather effects but overall the game just doesn't "feel" as fast. Another huge minus point are the loading times. they are so slow! you could be waiting 30 - 60 secs between races and cruising. this wouldn't be so bad but the fact that you will always be going back to the garage can make it very frustrating! This fact alone proved enough for me to sell the game on. when a game is all about speed, these loading times totally detract from the feeling.
The game is still fun though and for a portable console it does the job very nicely. this beats need for speed, ridge racer and for me even burnout(because of the mod theme) so if you want a superior racer and you dont own a home console then this the racer for you.

the best psp game yet
if you like the need for speed games then you'll love midnight club 3. with 3 vast cities to explore and race in and over 60 different cars including the mclaren mercedes slr and the hummer h2, midnight club 3 offers the biggest and best racer on the psp. modify your car's performance, body, and even licence plate to what you want, then take it to the streets of america. 10/10.

Great game, recommended for all Racing game lovers
If you like Need for Speed you will love this. It is better than all Need for Speed gal=mes i've played. The game gives so many options of cars from Nissan to McClearen. It allows you to 'supe' up the car and make it absolutly out of this world. With vingl, amazing rims, new skirts, new front and rear bumpers, tinted windows, 'nos' and neon lights. The ability to change city makes the gameplay all that bit better. One downside i found with this game is the fact that it does take some length of time to load-up.
This game as the americans would say is 'absolutly off the chain'.
