Sveden's answer to B&S?5
A wonderful mix of feel-good '60s pop melodies and melancholic, lyrically touching acoustic melodies, all seasoned with a pinch of Nick Drake, Acid House Kings albums are an irresistible treat for anyone who enjoys Belle & Sebastian.
I happened to come across them quite accidentally while looking up another recommended Swedish band (Radio Dept), but Acid House Kings really do blow them out of the water. And the best thing is that while some of the songs will catch you straightaway with upfront pop melodies (I listened to Do What You Wanna Do over and over and over again for about a week!) others will only be appreciated after a few listens (Long Term Plan)

Oh, and you just have to love that retro album cover...!

This album changed my life5
OK - this sounds like an exaggeration but I am a 100% radiohead fan until I heard this. It is HAPPY and listens like SUMMER. I can'te get enough. Buy all the AHK albums and club 8 - they deserve it!

Don't let the name put you off . . .5
I love this album, but have to say it nearly escaped me because of the name of the band. Less "twee" than Belle and Sebastian, I reckon they are more like a cross between Saint Etienne and Camera Obscura, both of whom are superb, so there you go!
