Synopsis
Meet the characters that inhabit 'Little Britain' once again in the second series of the comedy sketch show. Characters such as: Dafydd, the only gay man in his village (and wants to keep it like that); Fatfighters group leader Majorie Dawes; teenage girl Vicky Pollard, and rubbish transvestite Emily Howard. Along with these characters there is the carer Lou and his wheelchair bound pal, Andy, and the multi-talented actor, singer and composer Dennis `Minder' Waterman. Again this is primarily written by it's two stars, Matt Lucas and David Walliams. Former Doctor Who, Tom Baker continues to provide the surreal narration and with regular guest appearances by Buffy star Anthony Stewart Head as the Prime Minister, the show presents a wide range of comedy characters in sketches shot both on location and in the studio.

Ooh What A Kerfuffle4
Little Britain has become something of a phenomenon in the UK with sell-out live tours and top selling DVDs. This DVD has a whole second disc of extra features and this really is superb value and well worth having if you liked the TV show.
There is around forty-five minutes of deleted scenes and, to be honest, you can see why they were deleted. This is due to these sketches being quite unfunny and much cruder than the broadcast episodes on Disc 1.
The whole thing is well packaged, however, and well worth having in a DVD collection.
My own favourites are Lou and Andy and Anne the crazy ‘lady’. It is all very silly but quite irresistible.
Recommended.

Quickly loses its appeal2
Well, the wheels have truly fallen off the Little Britain bandwagon. Whilst I admired the first series with its fresh, characters, the second (and currently third) series have become more distasteful. The novelty has worn off in my opinion, as there is only so much you can do with these characters. If only Little Britain stopped at series 2, and not The Office! There's no narrative, which accelerates it's downfall, and it does become quite boring. The problem lies within the repetition, its become too predictable, and some of the sketches are below toilet humour and disgust you. Lucas & Walliams, your time is up, now do the sensible thing and move on gracefully, otherwise all we will remember you for is the desperation.

Yeh but no but yeh but buy it or I'll well give you beatins!5
I don't think Little Britain needs much of an introduction because it's so famous now and such a huge part of popular culture in the UK.

This DVD features all 6 episodes of Series 2 of the programme. All your favourites are back including Lou and Andy, Vicky Pollard, Marjorie Dawes, Dafydd, Emily Howard, Anne, Dennis and some hilarious new faces like Bubbles and Carol ("Computer says no..."). I don't think I need to spoil the details of all the sketches for you but rest assured you'll be on the verge of wetting yourself as your favourite characters go to new extremes and pulling your face in disgust at the shockers only Matt Lucas and David Walliams could bring us (there's no Jason/Nan but new sketches of equal disturbance).

So far the following special features have been confirmed:
Little Britain at the NFT 2004
Friday Night with Jonathan Ross Interview 2004
Jonathan Ross Radio Show Interview 2004
The Chris Moyles Radio Show Interview 2004
Richard and Judy Sketch
Little Documentary (43m 46s)
Comic Relief Special 2005 and Outtakes
Deleted Scenes (with commentary by Matt, David and Geoff Posner)
BBC One Dafydd sketch (Alternative to orginal, and ruder, BBC Three sketch)
Commentary on all six episodes by Matt, David and Geoff

We've all got our favourites sketches; mine personally being the fatfighters (poor Meera!); buy this without delay and gear yourself up for Series 3, coming to TV this November!
