SSX on Tour Rocks!4
As the newspapers start to preview ski holidays and our thoughts are turning to the winter weather EA Games have brought out their latest installment of the snowboarding game SSX.

This time you get to create your own character and you're not limited to one plank but can also opt for two - great for the skier / snowboarder arguments in our household. Many of the traditional challenges are back - the one to one racing and high point scoring tricks, but some new challenges have also been thrown in - in my view the best of these is trying to beat the ski patrol down the mountain. As you build your hype points you move up the scoreboard. The usual 2 player options are also available, where you can play with favourite characters from previous games or your own personal charactaer, secret characters and pistes are unlocked by progressing through the tour. Look out for the Yeti's they mark the shortcuts.

The sound track is more rock based than previous games but you can select what you want to hear using the jukebox. It's certainly going to keep my thumbs active until I get to hit the real snowy pistes in the new year!

On Tour review..4
This was the first game i got for psp and its still the one that i play the most because its so addictive and fits in brilliantly with the whole quick play philosophy of the psp. Theres loads to do, with some of the later events presenting a real challenge and an extensive chalenge mode as well. The replay value is also huge.

However, to call it SSX On Tour is a bit of a misnomer because all of the courses are actually from SSX 3. While this isn't necessarily a bad thing as the ps2 version of ssx3 was far superior to its follow up, it does mean there is very little new for people who already have the console verison of SSX3.

This said, its a really good game and well worth the price its going for if this sort of game is your thing.

Brilliant!5
SSX seems to have been leading up to this for a long time!
I have the SSX Tricky game on Playstation 2 and the graphics aren't excellent, but i found that the thrill was overwhelming.

I think that SSX On Tour is for SSX lovers everywhere, but is good for begginers as well. You can customise your character and choose a name. Although the range of items is not fantastic, you gain more outfits and boards (and skis) as you progress.
There are many different events to play and you have a choice of nearly all of them when you begin, which is great.

I found myself glued to it for many hours and I descovered that different tracks of music play and you can customise the list. You cna choose what order they play in, and if you don't like one, you can delete it off your playlist altogether.

This is a great game for ski and snow board fanatics, but ones that don't want to get wet as well!!
