Does the job well
With regards one of the other reviews, I find the mouse to be absolutely fine on my wooden desk, no sticking at all. It glides very easily, any acceleration difficulties might be to do with the way the mouse is set up ... you can change acceleration, sensitivity, button configuration etc with the supplied software.
Having used the mouse and keyboard for a few days now they're easy to use and set up. The mouse is great, accurate and responsive. The keyboard works well with Windows Media Player, so I can adjust volume, play/pause/skip tracks etc directly via the keyboard. I had a quick blast with a FPS game and the mouse was as good as if not better than my old wired mouse (an mx500 i.e. no slouch!), the laser definitely makes a positive difference. Also the whole kit looks very stylish (well, it appeals to my geeky side at least!) in black and charcoal. All in all an excellent piece of kit.

Great quality - Great price
The keyboard is at the usual angle when you use the adjustable feet. The keys have a nice positive, but soft, feel to them and are very quiet. The keyboard layout is standard UK (as opposed to the many US versions now available that place the @ key where the £ sign should be!)

The keys to the left act as a left hand mouse and can be incredibly useful.

The mouse is a laser and so is designed not to be used on a mat - in my case it's on a wooden PC workstation and is silky smooth. I gave my optical mat to my son as it was useless with this laser mouse.

The shortcut keys are the normal ones for a keyboard of this level (instant access to eMail, Word, Excel, Powerpoimt and so on). The master volume makes it very easy to adjust volumes when listening to music whilst working on the Internet etc. In my case it seems to add some volume 'boost' as well!

The software that comes with the pack is good - although the jukebox is a bit of a waste as any music found on the Internet by it can only be bought if you are in the US! I thought the media application was particularly good and makes selecting pictures and music very simple indeed.

All in all great value for the money now that the price has come down.

Simply a joy to use
I have had various wireless keyboards and mouse combo's in the past (often cheap and basic), my previous one was also a Logitech I was keen to buy the same brand again as they just seem worth the (slight) extra cost. This model has a number of features my previous ones have lacked. I found the most useful features to include......

Mouse tilt wheel that allows you to scroll horizontally (v.handy for looking at enlarged pictures, web pages etc) never had this on a mouse before surprised how much I miss using it!

Media player controls (play, volume etc)- obviously handy

Mouse forward/back buttons- on the side of the mouse (you use with your thumb), becomes second nature to use these, even though the mouse with these buttons is not a symmetrical shape (as such would do left handed users no favors)it is comfortable in the hand.

Hyper scroll wheel/buttons to the left of the keyboard can be used as you would a mouse in excel etc, find this useful more often then using the mouse to move through excel.

The detachable wrist rest is also a nice touch, just the right shape and height (I have found some raise my wrists too high, meaning I type at a more uncomfortable angle then without it in place)

There are many other neat touches and extra's, which although I don't use ( eg definable hot keys, sleep mode, messenger/ folder launch and zoom) I can understand why they are there- they would be useful to a lot of people.

The build quality is good, although as other user have noted without the feet up the keyboard lies flat, which I do not find a easy position to type in, but just pop the feet up and its fine. The mouse tracks well on my desk, mouse mat & even a book when I don't need to be at my desk! The keystroke is nice, a good balance of stroke length and softness.

Overall this keyboard is a nice step up from a basic model, with plenty of extra features that most people will want, but no excessive feature(s) that inflate the price. Although I only paid £20 (due to store error), if it was stolen/damaged I would happily pay the Amazon price, as compared to low price models the benefits out way the extra price.
