The runner-up makes good5
Season Four of American Idol seems to have produced the best one-two punch of them all, with excellent albums from both Carrie Underwood and this long haired rock singer, born Harold Elwin Bice Jnr. (and nicknamed "Bo".)

No stranger to the world of music, Bice had made public appearances before his life changing Idol success, but this well honed album will give him a foothold to the upper levels of the popular music charts.

The album starts with the first single "The Real Thing", a monster ballad with radio hit written all over it, and one you'll be humming along with from the first listen. The second track "You're Everything", written by Chad Kroeger of Nickelback, leans more towards traditional rock music, while track four "Nothing Without You", written by Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora and John Shanks, is tailor-made for a future hit single. Also look for "Hold On To Me"; "It's My Life", where he shares writing credits; "Willing To Try" (John Shanks, Richie Sambora) and his own "Valley of Angels".

Simple lyrics, catchy choruses and well produced songs abound on this album, and Bice's voice fits nicely with each song. Recommended for pop and rock fans, and AI fans everywhere.

Bo Bice is cool4
Good first album for the excellent Bo. Catchy from the very begining and Valley of Angels is absoultly brillient. Hope the next one will be slightly heavier rock and more like some of his idol songs, but saying that this is an excellent car album to have you singing along.

Disappointing first effort3
I bought this for my husband as he was a huge fan of Bo on AI. He was really disappointed when listening to it because it is very gentle rock! Very AOR, it's probably going to take several listens to get in to it. When Bo's preformances on Idol were soooo good, to listen to the album, it doesn't seem to reflect that, it lacks energy and is a bit wishy-washy. I wouldn't recommend it to be honest.
