poor 1
Since the WWE brought the great american bash back to life in 2004,i still await one worthy of the wcw event of the same name,as i write this the great american bash 2008 is less than a week away,i hope that at long last we get an event worthy of its legendary name,as for this pay per view from july 2005,well it was poor, with the odd touch of quality.
The event opened with the worst tag team title match of all time perhaps, well maybe thats a bit excessive but i didnt believe a second of this, the champs MNM went up against, animal and heidenreich,i refuse to call them by their given name on the night, this was bad and i mean bad, heidenreich,as if we didnt know it already, cant wrestle consistenly for toffee and this match means nothing to me.
Booker T went up against christian in a match that had good quality and some interesting moments,i wouldnt give this match 5 stars but it was a solid match that raised the standard tenfold.
The WWE united states championship was contested next, the champion orlando jordon went up against chris benoit, this match was a bit lousy and a bit boring at times but also pretty good but in the end it can only be deemed as an average match for those reasons.
The undertaker fought a man so out of his depth next that a universal scratching of heads from a world watching could be heard, muhammed hussan was his rival, his entrance to teh ring took longer than the match itself and his 6 helpers were a bunch of puddings, the taker looked embarrassed, the commentary team struggled to talk their way around this match and i found it a real low and this match wont feature on the takers greatest matches anytime soon.
The mexicools went up against the BWO next, this match was added at the last minute and it showed, this was a real horror match that was as bad as you can get.
The next match featured eddie guerrero against rey mysterio with reys son dominick at ringside, the stipulation was that if eddie won then he would get to reveal a family secret, when i look back on this feud i really liked it,and this match was very good,it wasnt the best of the series,i think the ladder match at the following months event, summerslam, was the best of the lot,but this was a great match.
melina fought torrie next in a match so bad i wish i could erase from my memory, shocking.
The main event was up next, the world heavyweight title was up for grabs, the champion batista went up against JBL,granted, the ending was poor but this was a decent match, violent enough but also skilled,at times it felt laboured as both men got tired and it slowed down but then it would pick up and the match followed that kind of formula.
Hardly an essential event in truth with only one or two matches holding their own,1.5 stars out of 5 then.

The Great Boring Bash1
Great American Bash 2005 was a bad PPV i always though Smackdown having their own events was always a bad idea.

Heidenreich and Road Warrior Animal vs MNM (Joey Mercury and Johnny Nitro) (w/Melina) - WWE Tag Team Championship
I never thought Heidenreich and Animal were a good team they were boring just this match was never exciting.

Booker T (w/Sharmell) vs Christian
This was one of those matches you had to skip it just did not offer much

Orlando Jordan vs Chris Benoit - WWE United States Championship
It was ok match Benoit did some good moves but overall Orlando takes the win

The Undertaker vs Muhammad Hassan (w/Daivari)
If you ask me Muhammad Hassan was screwed out of WWE making him all racist which that was the story writers fault. I liked Hassan he was a good wrestler who i really would of liked to see more of. This was Hassan's final WWE match and he got disrespected if you ask me. The match ends out with Undertaker giving Hassan a chokeslam then giving Hassan a last ride through the stage.

The Mexicools vs The bWo
This match was bad i didnt even know who the bwo were they looked like idiots coming out on those kiddie bikes and mexicools werent even that popular. The bwo i only ever saw on this event and this match sucked

Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero
This was the match over Rey's son well i think it was. Making Rey win all the time was a big no because Eddie should of won a whole lot more this match was not a classic.

Melina vs Torrie Wilson (w/Candice Michelle as Special Guest Referee) Bra and Panties Match
Another low match had to be the worst on the show the diva matches are ever good only trish and lita make good matches. Melina at this time couldnt wrestle good even still she sucks. Torrie is mainly eyecandy so if your some idiot who cant get a girlfriend then you will enjoy it but really i find it boring.

John Bradshaw Layfield (w/Orlando Jordan) vs World Heavyweight Champion Batista
I hate Batista kind of like John Cena there both annoying and stupid JBL is alright this match just was low not got me to turn it off about half way hardly no action.

WWE Great American Bash 20052
The WWE are desperately trying to give Smackdown a good PPV of it's own. This one failed to deliver any spectacular outcome. How lame some of the matches are - except the Eddie-Rey match which was mildly entertaining. I'll review all of them:

1. Tag Titles: MNM vs Heidenreich/Animal
It was a worthy opener, but was very boring. Heidenreich cannot wrestle to save his life and this was just pointless in my mind. He even walked out as champion! The match was way below average, but better than most of the card. 4/10

2. Booker T vs Christian
A solid match, but it barely had any hype and either of them should be US champion at least. It was ok overall - but don't get too excited as it wasn't incredible. 6/10

3. US Title: Chris Benoit vs Orlando Jordan (c)
This really made Benoit look bad. Losing to Jordan is seriously embarrasing as he is so bad. How can he walk out retaining? Benoit deserves better than this - the match sucked, plain and simple. I plead you to skip it. 1/10

4. #1 Contender's Match: Muhammad Hassan vs Undertaker
Hassan's entrance took about 10 minutes, it made no sense to me whatsoever. He also carried about 6 masked men who didn't get to knock down Taker at all. Taker is 100x better than Hassan and thankfully we didn't see him return after this match. The match was too slow and extremely pointless because Undertaker should have a much better opponent for it to be mildly good. 3/10

5. 6-Man Tag Match: Mexicools vs bWo
Seeing as the match was made on WWE.com, you could tell it was going to be bad. It was a waste of time, the match only lasted for about 4 minutes. So, why did WWE make this match in the first place. These teams fail to impress me even slightly. 2/10

6. Eddie Guerrero vs Rey Mysterio
Hooray! We actually come to the match-of-the-night, which was still not groundbreaking. The worst match of their "series" of PPV matches, but it was still very good. I hope to savour this moment forever because this is what WWE should improve on: the matches! At least I got to see a decent match between two of my favourite superstars, that's all. 8/10

7. Bra and Panties Match: Melina vs Torrie Wilson
I won't bother rating this match because...well...take a guess. IT BLOODY SUCKED!!! Why do WWE bother in making Divas matches anymore? They are completely timewasting. I've changed my mind; I will rate the "match". 0/10!!

8. World Title: JBL vs Batista (c)
It was a below average main event. God, even Smackdown can't produce a good main event? Wait, what am I talking about? Smackdown can hardly produce a good match without at least a month of rivalry. The match wasn't great, but wasn't all that bad. JBL is SO SLOW and boring which really annoyed me because I wanted to see Undertaker vs Batista in the main event. Now, that would be a good match! 5/10

So, do you really want this DVD?
I don't think anyone would enjoy it because I was on the verge of falling asleep just as the first match began.
