Clubland 8 - Pretty flat.
Maybe my love for dance music 90s style is the reason I dislike this album, but Clubland have taken the 'genre' of modern dance too far with their latest enstallment. OK, for clubbers who enjoy dance, pop, urban and other such styles of music will appreciate this album for a very long time, and maybe for them I would recommend it. But for people who enjoy uplifting, catchy and serious club tunes, then few tracks on any of the 3 CD's on this album really match this description. Clubland 7 was in some ways similar, but had 2 key differences to #8 that made it a decent album;1) There were very very few tracks that were simply pop/urban songs remixed in a club form, and2) There were a hell of a lot of catchy songs on #7, those that made you want to dance all the time. #8 has few of these.To prove how desparate they are for tracks, they were forced to put Drop The/Doctor Pressure on twice, OK a slightly different version (one has no vocals) but come on. The best CD infact is the 3rd one, 'Clubland Live.' This has a couple of half decent tracks on it, I like the offering from Dance Assassins, Dancing DJ's and Lee S. In all honesty, the best songs on the other 2 CD's are songs I already own, like the new Faithless remix and Mylo. The best new tracks I hadn't heard I think has to be Major Players (CD2, Track 10) in my opinion, and even this isn't exactly thrilling to listen to. I will reiterate however, people who like a variety of styles of music AND also like clubbing, then this album is likely to be enjoyed. For those who want classic dance, it may disappoint. Clubland was kept alive because of it's 'catchyness' of songs... now there aren't even many of those.

Best compilation I've heard for a very very long time. I was on iTunes the other night and had trouble finding one good 2005 trance anthem that ISN'T on this album!!!

If you like vocal, uplifting house & trance then you NEED this album. Full stop.
