What can i say
This seemed like a nice little add on bonus if you bought it with the sims 2 but i'd say it has as much value as any other stuff pack. I like the proper expansion packs which have a new way of playing with your little simlings. And i know (for people who have read my reviews) i have a habit of rating items i dont own but i feel like i can predict what its going to be like

It's only a stuff pack!
Don't expect anything major from this pack, you won't get any new interactions or neighbourhoods etc. but for those of you who like to decorate your Sim's houses on special occasions (like me) this is a nice little SP.It's not only for Christmas either, it has some halloween stuff, Easter and some others I can't remember. Also there is a big santa beard ;)

Though I liked this SP, I only borrowed, so I would advise you to wait until EA brings out The Sims 2 Happy Holiday Stuff.

Not Essential - but adds Flavor
OK, I'm going to be up-front about this, this is not the first thing you should reach for when you are looking for something to spice up your Sims 2 experience. This isn't to say that the party pack is without value, just that if you are wanting something that will change your gameplay experience dramatically, look elsewhere (like Open for Business or the upcomming Pets expansions). No this disk is as important as the Christmas Tree at Christmas - it all depends on your point of view.
While largely the stuff you get is themed around Christmas, there are some things for other holidays as well, such as Halloween, New Year and Easter. The decorative objects are nice to set a holiday theme, you can have a New Year's party, you can dress sims up as Mr. or Mrs. Claus - the changes it makes are generally subtle and/or decorative but that is the same as it is for you and your home. Either this is important to you or it is not - hence the 3 stars.
