A standard minijack provides audio line-input for plugging in a powered microphone, and with a headphone-out port, you can plug in headphones and listen to music, watch a movie, play games or compose a new song in complete privacy.
Portable Performance
Thanks to the PowerPC G4 processor with Velocity Engine, every PowerBook packs a tremendous punch for doing everything from numerical computations to editing video and designing show-stopping presentations. The 17-inch model boasts processor speeds of 1.67GHz.
Working with multiple RAM-hungry applications? All PowerBook G4 systems ship standard with 512MB of fast DDR memory.

This is The Best Laptop Ever
I have had mine for a few weeks now and i must say i am very impressed. The Mac software limits some of the programs that you can get for it but it is still very impressive.
Very lightweight and for the performance it provides it is quite possibly the best laptop on the market.
The battery life is about 7 - 8 hours if you don't overuse it but the battery life does depend on the amount of work you are doing on the computer at any one time.
Some of the features are great, the Mac software is nothing like the usual Window software that you see on most every computer but it is easy to get the hang of and very simple.
This comes with a DVD & CD ripper built in which is very fast and simple.
No Matter how many programs you have running the computer doesn't seem to slow down one bit and that really surprised me but i was very impressed.
This is very reliable and definitly worth the price tag, like they say you get what you pay for
This is the Mac that convinced me to leave the PC behind - I don't regret it
I am (still) a power PC user (and before that a mainframe and Fortran user - but that is a story for another place and time). I have used quite a number of versions of Windows on quite a variety of desktop and portables both at work and at home (I used to build my own home systems), and I still use Windows on a PC in the office. When faced with upgrading my home system I decided to try a Mac for three reasons. Firstly, my wife would probably be able to better understand and manage a Mac. Secondly, I wanted to do more with my music and photo collections, and the Mac looked like a better option. Thirdly, I felt that Mac offered a more robust and secure platform, and I liked the approach to WiFi. So I started by buying an iBook G4 for my wife. Within 2 months I had bought a PowerBook G4 for myself. The Mac is an impressive machine, and very easy to set up and connect to the Internet (using WiFi). On the other hand, being a typical Windows-man it took me quite a while to adapt to the way OS X works and all the features, etc. Using a Mac means thinking about things in a different way, this is more than just changing the odd menu, it is more a different way of imagining how to do things and how the machine should work. It also took me a while to get all the software together, and a bit longer to get copies of my favorite games - Civilization and SimCity - but now everything is perfect. In terms of my music and photo collections, my expectation where more than satisfied, even if I have not yet master every detail. It works with my nano, digital camera, Epson printer, JBL Encounter, etc. I have had no problems at all with it so far and I carry it around with me everyday. I wholeheartedly recommended not only the machine but also the entire experience of moving from a PC to a Mac.
