Price and performance you cannot beat
I buy a great deal of my A/V equipment from Julian Richer , but they couldn't come close to the value of this package of both amp and 6 speaker system plus speaker cables. I dropped one star due to the fact that the Unit was a lot bigger than I expected (434x147x417 mm) compared to my Denon D-M31 cd/amp , so check that you have enough space before purchase. I watched Pirates of the Caribbean II last night and the Digital dolby sound was excellent.

Extraordinary Value For Money
This was my first venture into the world of the home cinema system, the Denon DHT1356XP was featured as a 'best buy' in 'Which' Magazine. Although I ordered it from Amazon, it was despatched by Hughes Direct and I received it within three working days, delivered on the exact day I was advised by e-mail (excellent service).

The main receiver is quite large - check your available space! and only comes with the speaker cable and sub-woofer connector. If you are a home-cinema virgin don't expect to take this system out of the box and plug-in and play, you will need to do your homework first. The Denon manual is quite confusing, for a novice. You will need to cross-refer with the manuals for your existing TV, DVD, VCR and Satellite/Cable equipment.

If you buy this system for DTS playback, make sure that your existing DVD player is DTS compatible and you will need to buy a suitable digital audio co-ax cable to connect for optimum results. Also an optical cable for Satellite/Cable input is a must to get the best digital sound.

Once you get over all the technical barriers, this system will astound you. I may be a newcomer to Home Cinema but I have been a Hi-Fi enthusiast for a number of years and, yes I am the proud owner of a Denon Hi-Fi system. The clarity of sound and richness of bass is clear to even the less-refined musical ear.

The number of Home Cinema systems on the market is mind-boggling, yet you cannot be sure of the quality you will be getting. One thing is for sure, this Denon package will not let you down - buy it!

Cant Go Wrong
I brought this a little while back. You cannot fault its quality in sound and design. Has enough inputs and outputs to create one hell of a home cinema. i have my dvd, apple imac, ps2 and several other things. quite simply amazing
