The film 12.01 is much underated. It is based on an original short story of the same name and no doubt inspired the slushy hollywood version 'Groundhog Day'. At the time the 'big movie' Goundhog Day became more famous because it used celebrity actors. 12.01 is a more Sci-fi based version of the story and is more exciting and amusing despite the inclusion of the inevitable romance. My question is: why is it unavailable in region 2 format for those of us on the UK side of the market?

Better than Ground Hog Day? OH YES
I was never a great fan of Jonathon Silverman, of Helen Slater come to that, but they made this movie into an unmissable piece of sci-fi which makes Ground Hog Day look like a straight to DVD movie(which it should have been really!) A great series of twists keeps the momentum going right to the superb ending, some excellent humour along the way, what more do you want?
You cant get this in region 2, but most dvd players now have multi region, or you can find the "crack" code on the tinterweb.

Takes ages to arrive
The movie is great, but unfortunately it takes ages to arrive in the UK.
I would recommend to get this for a higher price, so it arrives quicker.
