This will give you results fast!
This is a classic workout which incorporates traditional lunges and kicks to really work your butt and thighs (abs and upper body too, but results in my lower body were noticeable more quickly). You won't find much that is innovatory on this DVD, but you WILL see muscle starting to show instead of flab in just a couple of weeks of regular use. And yes, Cindy was criticised because of extremely poor technique, but if you know something about exercise already and you remember about keeping your knee in line with your ankle during lunges and not to exaggerate neck rolls, you will be ok. I used this one for a couple of years successfully, never suffering from sore knees or anything of the sort.
The DVD contains 2 x 45 minute workouts and 1 x 10 minute workout for those days when you don't have much time and don't want to go to bed feeling guilty because you haven't exercised. For those that expect cardio, you will not find it on here, this is more of a muscle toning workout rather than fat blasting. The pace is quite fast, I often find that I have to pause the DVD to catch my breath or drink some water, and I can never do the lunges as quickly as Cindy does. But it is a no nonsense workout that works and I come back to it again and again in the months just before summer.
A tough little work out for when you dont have much time!!
Ive been using cindys - next challenge workout for 11 years, but this one takes a less time 40 mins instead of 1hour. There are 2 different 40 min workouts, and a great 10 min workout. Ideal just before work or in the evening.
A great body shaping workout
I have tried a fair number of different fitness dvd's and I have found this to be one of the most effective. It is great to be able to fit it in before work in the morning which is managable at 40 mins long. My bottom has never been so toned before and I have really noticed the difference in my jeans! My only quibble is the fact that I believe, due to the age of the original film, Cindy does a rather vigorous warm up and she does it rather fast. I found the head rolls were making my neck stiff, so now I just do stretches in that part which seems to have made a difference. I quite like the speed of the acutal exercises, but it does take a while to build up to it so don't go rushing in or you will be in pain. Definitely one to buy if you need to tone up rather than lose weight.
