I Love Katamari5
I can find absolutely no fault with We Love Katamari. I love everything about it, the mad cutscenes, the cartoony graphics, the weird humour, the crazy sound track, the control scheme, everything. Katamari is great game to play with friends, as a spectator sport or in co-op. But it is also a lot of fun to play on your own.

The game plays by you pushing round a ball collecting up anything that gets in your way. To pick up objects your ball of tat needs to be large enough but with everything you roll up it grows. The game is broken up into challenges, mostly create as big a ball as possible in the time limit or make a ball of certain size as fast as possible but there are lots of variations. There is something very satisfying about starting out rolling up paper clips and building up until things which prevously seemed like scenery are just more things to roll up and the difrence between picking up stationary and causing absolute havok is only a matter of minutes. Towards the final stages of the action reaches apoclyptic scale but there is always the up beat soundtrack, colourful visuals and weird cuteness.

This is simply the most enjoyable game I have played in a long time.

I ¢¾ Katamari5
I saw a review of this in the Guardian and my Girlfriend wanted it straight away. This game is mind bogglingly addictive. The tunes will have you singing along even though they are in Japanese (Where can I get those tracks especially the flower level one?). You roll a ball into things to make it bigger and quite frighteningly this is more mind bending than crack. Even once the game is complete you will be going back to improve your score and make more stardust (Long explanation).

We loveeeeeeeeeeeee Katamari4
This is in my view such a marmite game. You'll either love it or hate it simple as, so if you can rent/borrow before you buy I would strongly recommend that first.
I personally love it. It so mad and bizarre in story with its quirky manga-esqe humour you cant help laugh at the mad story or some of the things you roll. You at some points loss complete track of whats going on and just want to roll.
Gameplay
You play Prince Katamari- The katamaris where ruler of space and the comos and all the planets in it. Now the planets have gone and need to be put back.
You control a Katamari, a ball where you roll around the screen and collect anything/everything you can.Its that simple idea - basically in whatever setting your in water/camp/school you basically roll absolutley everything you can. Growning in size the bigger items you can pick up. I always laugh when its big enough to roll the rabbits/deer or even god! Its the sheer panic in their voices as you carry on your path of rolling.

Now this sounds quite simple.. and the first few levels are, but with further progress it gets harder and harder with time requirement or item collection or dont let your burning katamari go out added!!. It really is a well thought out game.
You have to collect all manners of objects to get 100% on each level which takes some doing I can tell you, So longevity is there in masses and add a 2 player option it makes it a must have.

The only bad thing is possibly the graphics which pretty much are enhanced PS1 graphics but you really dont notice it as your busy ploughing your way through the game.

The sound as well is a mix of mad Japanese rock/dance and I swear tom jones (sounds like it anyway). Everything in this game compliments each other.

Buy it if you like a challenging puzzle game, but only if rolling up school children or bears or some king talking about his chin is funny. The humour is a very strong selling point, but you need to realise this isnt a straight forward story and will confuse the heck out of you in points.
