Watch This Space.5
This is without doubt one of the best guitar based DVD's I've heard in some while. I'd not heard Joe Bonamassa play live or on record but purchased this DVD having read reviews of his live gigs on tour in europe in 2005 and how crowds were blown away by his performances.Watch this space...because this New Yorker is going to be huge, great voice and guitar skills that will make him a blues-rock great. He can rock with the best of them yet is also very melodic as well,he plays a whole range of different styles, with a band comprising of bass guitar and drums
who are rock solid. Brilliant sound well filmed, your drawn into
this gig.Be prepared to be a JB fan because this lad can surely
play...absolutely recommended without reservation 5 stars.

This way to blues rock guitar heaven5
At the age of 12 Joe Bonamassa opened a show for BB King so you know he is going to no slouch around the fretboard. You can also assume from this that he is going to be a bluesman. The fact doesn't, however, fully prepare you for Joe's take on the blues. Take a bit the three kings, (BB , Albert and Freddie), add some of the generation inspired them (Clapton, Page, Green etc) and stir in some of the following guitarists; Robin Ford, Eric Johnson and you have an idea of where Joe is coming from.

However, a great technique is only part of the story. Joe also has feel and emotion in shovel loads and from the look on his face, clearly loves playing the music.

So, good songs, interesting arrangements, well recorded sound great playing from Joe and the band - all looking like their playing for the joy of it and not as a job. What are you waiting for buy it now.

Joe Bonamassa - Live At Rock Palast5
I only came across Joe a few days ago and on the strength of a few tracks ordered the DVD. It is EXPLOSIVE stuff. The guy has God-given guitar talent and the voice of a (somewhat gritty!) angel. And his band - him + bass + drums - play together like they share DNA. It's raw (but polished!) blues and rock - includes Joe originals and a few covers, all with Joe's special touch. This huy has the virtuosity of SRV and Robben Ford in one and his voice reminds me of Michael Bolton (actually meant as a compliment!). A great live set, filmed brilliantly and with superb sound quality. I can't recommend this enough. I'm currently recruiting fans like nobody's business!
