Customer Reviews

Alison at her best since "1984's Alf"5
What's there to say about the fabulous Alison Moyet that has not already been said countless times?

Answer quite simple take a listen to Hometime and not only will find her voice at peak of it's powers but you will also be bowled over by the quality of her songwriting.

If your looking for another Alf then promptly move on this is easily Alison finest record save the excellent Hoodoo.

The album is dark, neurotic and so beautiful. Standout tracks include the radio promo "Should I feel that it's over", "Do you ever wonder", "If you dont come back to me" and folky "Mary dont keep me waiting".

If you buy any record this year by Alison Moyet then buy this you will be so glad you did.

Alison you came home with "Hometime".

Superb 5
This album is excellent. It really highlights the strong vocal & song writing ability of Alison as well as having excellent production. Of her previous releases I found 'Hoodoo' to clearly be her strongest and most rewarding. I would have to say that I hold 'Hometime' in even higher regard.

I liked it so much that I went and bought the expanded edition (with 2 bonus french vocal versions... Bilan (more) & Si tu ne me reviens pas (if you don't come back to me.)

I also tracked down the 3 CD singles (Should I feel that it's over (+2 b-sides) / More (+2 live tracks) / Do you ever wonder(+remix of Yesterday's flame & 'Bilan' - french version of 'More')

Do yourself a favour and treat yourself to an excellent album by an excellent artist.
