I challenge you to listen to Harmonograph and not become a Boo disciple - one of Britain’s brightest talents. 5/5

Uncut Magazine, February 2006
Understated genius from criminally undervalued songwriter - 4 Stars.

The Word Magazine, February 2006
Master songwriter turns some of his best material on himself. Give it a week and it’s following you around.

Emotions for the soul5
Boo Hewerdine is one of those rare breed of singer/songwriters who has the ability to capture moments in life that live with you forever. First love/special love and moments that live hidden in the soul until songs like those in 'Harmongraph' rekindle the memories.

I first heard Boo at 'The Tron' Theatre in Glasgow, and in the intimate surroundings of this venue, the words of his songs moved as though they were emanating from within me. The lyrics, captured and represented events in my life. Tantalising poetry of the heart, the soul and the body, entwined in captivating melodies.

In his latest album, Harmongraph', Boo choose to record his own version of songs that were written for and often with other artistes. 'Harmonograph'produces a roller-coaster of memories consisting of twelve songs which capture the essence of how we all tend to be controlled by other people's emotions.

I rated the album at 5 stars because every song meant something to me, but if I was forced to select my favourites they would be 'Sing to me', 'Slow Learner' and 'I felt her soul move through me', but that probably tells you a little to much about me!

Boo Hewerdine could easily release 'Harmongraph Nos.2 to 10', and still attain the same high calibre of music. I've gifted this album to numerous friends, who had never previously heard of Boo. Each and every one of them now call themselves fans, and kick themselves for not having heard him sooner!

a beautiful, gentle piece of work5
Acoustic singer-songwriters seem to be occupying higher reaches of the album charts just at the moment, and Boo Hewerdine is one of the very best of them. An enormously prolific and gifted songwriter, he has produced one of the most tender and understated pieces of work you will ever hear. These are the kinds of songs that get under your skin - they slowly grow on you until you realise how much they have come to mean to you. Delicately sung, thoughtfully arranged, this is a beautiful record, capable of moving you tremendously - one of the best you will buy this year.

Former Bible frontman covers his own songs - brilliantly5
From the opener, Girl Who Fell In Love With The Moon, you know you are in for a treat. Boo Hewerdine's songwriting craft is fully appreciated by many other singers, notably Eddi Reader, who had a hit with his Patience of Angels. Now he reclaims some of these fine songs for himself. Although the single Ontario is a great track, for me the one that hits the spot is Sing to me. It has all the qualities you look for in an epic song, great lyrics rising to a rousing anthem and amazingly encapsulated into just over three minutes. If it was released as a single and received the airplay it deserves, this song could make Boo Hewerdine a household name. Anyone who loves great songwriting would not regret owning this album. Brilliant.
