Synopsis
Rock guitarist Gary Moore heads up a fitting tribute to his late friend and Thin Lizzy frontman Phil Lynott. Filmed in Dublin in 2005, the ceremony opens with the unveiling of a life-size bronze statue of Lynott to commemorate what would have been his 56th birthday. This is followed by a special concert with performances by Lynott's former band mates Eric Bell, Gary Moore, Brian Robertson, Brian Downey, Scott Gorham, and Jethro Tull bassist Jonathan Noyce. Tracklisting: 'Walking By Myself', 'Jailbreak', 'Don't Believe A Word', 'Emerald' (feat. Brian Robertson), 'Still In Love With You' (feat. Brian Robertson), 'Black Rose' (feat. Scott Gorham), 'Cowboy Song' (feat. Scott Gorham), 'The Boys Are Back In Town' (feat. Scott Gorham), 'Whiskey In The Jar' (feat. Eric Bell), 'Old Town/Parisienne Walkways' (feat. Eric Bell).

"We Remembered PARRIS"
Had the pleasure of being at the front row of this gig. A great tribute to the "King of Dublin", Mr. Philip Parris Lynott.
With past members of Thin Lizzy, Scott Gorham, Gary Moore, Brian Robertson and Brian Downey reforming for an emotional tribute to Philip Lynott. Gary just proves why he is the best rock & blues guitarist in the world. Gary kicked off the gig with "Walking by myself" and then lifted the roof off the place with Jailbreak followed by an extended version of "Dont Believe a Word". Next up Gary jammed with Robertson on "Emerald" and the timeless "Still In Love With You". "On The Cowboy Song" and "Boys are back in Town" Scott Gorham twinned with Gary and threw in the scintillating "Black Rose". After a brief break Gary rounded the gig off with a mind blowing version of "Parisian Walkways" and "Whiskey in the Jar" for good measure.
If you are to buy a rock DVD in 2006, let it be this one.
Fanastic stuff. a fitting tribute to the great man
This is a great DVD - the only disappointment is that the gig wasn't longer. The quality of the camera work, editing and the picture is first class.
Gary Moore is absolutely terrific, the solo he plays at the end of Black Rose is incredible, and the ending of Parisienne Walkways is fantastic too.
Brian Robertson doesn't reach the heights of the Live and Dangerous version of "Still in Love with You", but that must be one of the finest guitar performances ever captured so can't complain too much.
The interview section is excellent too.
All in all it reminds you what a fantastic band Lizzy were, and what a great songwriter, singer and performer Phil was.
Goose bump inducing....
From the opening seconds right until the very end, this dvd is absolutely enthralling. A fitting tribute to the man that everyone misses - PHIL LYNOTT. If you like Thin Lizzy, well, you should already have bought this so if you haven't already, don't hesitate. The musicianship - cannot be faulted. Gary needs to lose a few pounds but still plays like a god, Brian Robertson looks a little out of it at the beginning but soon finds the groove, Brian Downey - rock steady (what else would you expect?), Jonathan Noyce - tidy bass, Scott Gorham - IS Scott Gorham. Eric Bell puts the icing on the cake with a rousing Whiskey in the Jar. The sound and editing - top notch. Play it and then play it again..I did.
