Edwyn would be Thrilled4
This is a wonderful album that's reminiscent of the early days of Orange Juice and their friends at Postcard records, especially if you enjoyed 'You Can't Hide Your Love Forever' by Orange Juice.

In a world where there are no new melodies to discover they seem to achieve the next best thing - catchy melodies with lovely arrangements and an interesting mix of acoustic and electonic instruments.

Lovely pop music with an orginal twist. They were recently on Jools Holland's TV programme in the UK and instantly caught the eye.

Worth a speculative purchase. If there was a half they'd get 4.5 out of 5

Oh Spinto!5
This has been pretty much my staple listen for the past two months and I'm yet to get sick of it. It would be hard for me to talk about this album and not mention the similarities in sound to Pavement, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and The Wannadies, so I will mention it. Not so off-kliter as Pavement, the vocals are very similar to those of Alec Ounsworth and the songs have the touching summer-breezed sentiment that The Wannadies are very good at. I really rate a band who are able compose really strong melodies without being too obvious.

I suppose the sound fits in somewhere between catchy pop and indie (tho "indie" is fast becoming the vaguest genre!) It's really hard to get the songs out of your noggin, once they are firmly set, but as I say this only makes me want to listen to the album all the more. This is definately one band I'll be making the effort to watch at Reading.

My favourite tracks are "Late" and "Trust vs Mis-Trust"

Nice and Nicely Done, is indeed, just that and I have no quarms about giving it a grand old 5/5!

Didn't have a clue who these guys were5
I randomly bought this album - and it is a right cracker. There are six members in the band, and some are as young as 19. Their sound is quirky and catchy, you cannot resist the upbeat 'bubblyness' of the album. Every song is great but the high points on the album are 'Oh Mandy', 'Late', 'Trust vs Mistrust' and 'So Kind, Stacy'. I don't know who to compare them to, but they remind me of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah for some reason.
