Editorial Reviews
CD Description
Scheduled to coincide with the release of his film ATL, thealbum KING indicates that 2006 may be the year for Southernrapper T.I. The Atlanta native had already established a strong track record with an impressive run of singles and three solid studio albums prior to the release of KING, but his 2006 effort is his most polished and consistent to date.
T.I.'s delivery is fluid and drawn out, and his rhymes tackle subjects typical to the gangsta rap milieu. The musical approach on KING isn't much different from the rapper's previous releases, but it's nonetheless better, with tighter rhymes, more assured execution, and superior production. In fact,it's the latter that gives KING its gleam: T.I. is backed by expansive, innovative tracks that set the stage for the next generation of Southern rap.
Customer Reviews
Southern Hip Hop At It's Best
After thoroughlly enjoying TI's last album, i was extremely optimistic about the new one. It definately failed to disappoint, "what you know" being for me one of the track's of the year. The album is extremely lively, with some quality lyrics, and was an enjoyment to listen to. TI is extremely popular in the USA, but if he keeps on doin what he's doin, i'm sure he'll break into the UK's music scene. Here is a list of the best tracks which stand out for me: "What You Know", "Ride Wit Me", "Get It", "Stand Up Guy".
brilliant album
great hip hop album by far da best rapper in da game at da mo just my opinion, highlights the obvious ones what you know, why you wanna as well as im straight, stand up guy, ride with me and topback every track on da album is gud in its own rite.
