Tortured Soul - Introducing .....
Finally, I have discovered a band that play Deep Soulful House well, very well in fact. i cannot recommend this CD enough. I rarely buy Cd's anymore and took a risk on buying this one on the basis of one track "fall in love" (U NEED THIS IN YOUR LIFE!). I was not disappointed when it arrived, and found great tracks on it like "Hows Your life" and "Don't Hold Me Down". I was also sold on the fact that they are a three piece band from Brooklyn, New York, which i think sounds kinda cool. To summarize, i feel this is a perfect match of keys, vocals and bass lines producing a chilled out soul house album. Eagerly waiting 2nd album.
Not All Good Bands Are Famous...Just Buy It!
Tortured Soul are a three piece band based in New York. I first had the pleasure of Tortured Soul this summer at the Montreal Jazz music festival. Before you switch off, they're not a jazz band. They describe themselves as 'live house music'. Whatever genre you wish to place them in, there is no getting away from the fact they are pretty dam fantastic.
The album includes all the tracks they had the crowds dancing to in the streets of Montreal. If you don't like this album then the only taste you possess is in your mouth. You will love it and so will your women. A class act.
