Customer Reviews

They're better live but this will do nicely!4
Having seen Four Day Hombre live on a number of occasions I was fascinated to see if they could reproduce the magic on record. They do. Every track is a winner with Single Room and First Word particularly standing out, as they do in the live set. Why songs like Resolve, Jedi Blues and Drink did not make the album puzzles me but the tracks that did make it are superb. Personally, I would have changed the tracklisting, opening with Don't Go Gently (a potential single?)and closing with Single Room as they do in live shows but it does work as it is. I would still say that you have not fully witnessed the quality of this band until you see them live, particularly as a number of songs are played differently when performed live. You will however, struggle to find a more competent debut album all year.

original joined up experience4
I have a pre release version of the album. I've seen the band live so recognise some of the tracks. It impressive how close to the recording the band sound live. Very well put together, fantastic for a first album. All the original lyrics appear to to be linked and some are clearly about life in a band. Loved it all, have not found anything to skip yet. Favourite track 'Inertia' great lyrics.

Superb debut - get this now!5
This is the genuine article - an album you can really get your teeth into:

Finely-wrought songs about the wonder and pain of our lives, beautifully delicate vocals, incredible musicianship, arrangement by turns intimate and sweeping, all brought together by production so crisp it makes you want to cry.

I'd buy this now if I were you.
