Great Chess soul
I have for a long time enjoyed the Chess label has been mostly a blues label with the odd exception here and there. My soul experience has been dominated by Stax/Atlantic recordings. Lately I've found a lot of pleasure discovering the others sides of Chess. Laura Lee is a great soul singer and with a high class Muscle Shoals backing you cannot go wrong. If you like sixties soul this is as good a choice as any. Only one minus: Track 4 is not on the album
