Customer Reviews
sonic youth at their best
This is one of my favourite SY records and it comes from arguably their best period. It contains the Kim Gordon track G-Force and their Into The Groovey cover (both essential), and guitar experiments all essential, and some other Sonic Youth throwaways that no fan could throw away. There is some other stuff that is dated but its not much and with the exception of the Mike Watt piece it is very very short. The whole album has a nice feel and sound and value to it. I haven't had Geffen's "expanded" version yet but it looks the same as the Blast First issue.
Worth it for Into the Groovy
Well, this isn't the best Sonic Youth album but this is where they started to make music for others as well as themselves.
It's worth buying purely for Into The Groovy, probably the best Madonna cover ever!
