Customer Reviews
Quality drive
Very good drive and pretty fast. Good build quality, feels solid in the hand. For those with Windows Vista, check the Sandisk U3 site as there is an update on the site to make the U3 feature work on Vista.
Good performance - U3 not as useful as hoped
The drive is a good performer and appears well built. The slide out USB plug works with a reassuring feel.
I was disappointed to find that U3 wasn't recognised by my PC at work (probably due to their locked down operating system), but because of that, the regular flash drive aspects of the drive weren't recognised, so I couldn't use it for file transfers there. Removing the U3 system from the device has instantly cured this, and the drive is now recognised as per any other removable drive. The U3 operations can be easily reinstalled in future as, hopefully, the world becomes more familiar with it.
OK for XP...but not for Vista users :-(
I bought my unit back in November and have been happy with its performance. The value of the product is very much tied to the functionality of the U3 apps you stick on it, so look at what's on offer. I was disappointed to discover that my Cruzer doesn't work fully with Windows Vista, so consider an alternative if this is likely to affect you.
