Absolutely Fabulous
Have been waiting for a retail version of this series since it first aired on Sky one what seems like many years ago now. Largely ignored when it was first being shown probably due to the channel it was on. Sky weren't known for producing comedy at the time, but were (and arguably still are) just a channel full of american dram, star trek, and the simpsons.

If this had been on the BBC it would have had as big a following as the Fast Show or Goodness Gracious me. Utterly brilliant.

Since this series Al Murray has appeared occasionally on our TV screens, in Big Brother, Hells Kitchen, Fact Hunt amongst others, but he has never really shined. This series launched his career and it is a pity he has never followed it up with the strength of material shown here.

All the characters are strong and memorable. The sccripts are still as fresh as the day they were first written.

I can not recommend this DVD highly enough.. waiting with anticipation for the rest of series one and two to be released on DVD now.

An excellent series.
If you have never seen this series, buy this disk. It is a good introduction to an excellent series. For fans of the series, like me, it's a shame they couldn't have released the whole of series one as a package. It does mean that this disk is quite expensive - hence only 3 stars.

Fantastic Show. Buy why not the complete season?
This show is one of my all time favs. When I ordered the DVD i thought I had ordered the complete Season 1, but then found it was season 1, PART 1. I know it says this on the listing. Fantastic Show but i dont like these tv series that you have to buy each season in PARTS. the disc includes 6 episodes, and i havent seen any special features, so in my opinion its not great value for money. They know fans of the show will pay anything for a part of a season. If it was the complete season I would rate this 7 stars out of 5, if it had special features it would get 10 stars out of 5.
