Get this brilliant album,
Nerina is one of those remarkable artists that not only does her voice make you sit up and take notice, so do her lyrics. especially in 'Everybody's gone to war' and the simply lovely 'Sophia' Her range and power of voice are simply amazing. this a worthy album for anyone's collection.
You need this album!
This is the best record I have bought in a very long time. The tracks most people will be familiar with are 'Sophia' and 'Everybody's Gone to War', but every single song on this album is brilliant. 'Idaho' also stands out, but to be honest it's hard to have favourite tracks in an album of this standard! Stop reading this, and buy it, now!
Fires
This is Nerina Pallot's second album, but perhaps the one by which most people recognise her for. Pallot is an honest true to herself songwriter, something which is rare in the uk charts. The album combines soft rock with acoustic piano songs. There doesn't seem to be any 'filler' except track eleven, Nickindia, which seems to never end and doesn't match the quality of the other ten tracks. It is a good album and should satisfy lovers of acoustic, piano music.
