Not too impressed with this
Like other correspondents, the "flesh creep" on slow moving images is really annoying. The image is also quite "grainy" compared to even a mediocre crt television. I must admit that I haven't tried alternative SCART cables, but will do so. The remote control takes quite some time to get used to due to the number of functions available. Otherwise good colour rendering and more than adequate contrast and brightness. Sound quality is super. The TV looks good too. I'm afraid that I have yet to be impressed by the picture quality, but this is an issue with all lcd tvs I suspect. Whilst I don't wish that I hadn't bought it (it was a very good price) I would think twice about recommending it. A disappointing foray into the digital world!!!!

Good value but...
Buyers should be aware that this LCD TV does not come with a Freeview tuner. Also the one sent to me came supplied with a continental style power cable, and although an adaptor was included this did not fit the plug. I assume the set is not normally distributed to the UK.

Capitalism is NOT sustainable
Unvelievable!!! NO STARS. This monster does not have an OFF switch! How can such an item be allowed to be produced? We are asked to "change our lightbulbs" yet companies such as LG continue to pump out energy-intensive products like this & brainwash the gullible masses with billions of PR & advertising. DO NOT BUY if you care about our energy crisis, resource depletion, labour conditions, the environment or your electricity bill. Apart from that? Not a bad telly...
