Kingston 2GB U3 Data Traveler
I'm very pleased with this device. It was a couple of quid dearer than the ordinary flash drive, but it came with some loaded software. You can also download free software from u3.com to this flash drive and run it direct from the drive. It has its own start menu but leaves no trace on the host pc when the flash drive is removed. It all comes with full instructions but it's all very simple anyway. When you get tired of all this U3 stuff you can use it just like any other flash drive, drag and drop.
U3 No thanks
Cracking tool and very fast, a lot faster than my Bytestore drive.
Only let down is the U3 software. Every PC you plug it in, it wants to add startup files to the pc and install itself.
U3 in itself is a handy tool if you want it, but most times you just want to move or copy files and the U3 just wants to do more.
Some of the software is useful and you can get games for it too.
Would I buy another U3? probably not, but I'd definately get another Kingston drive.
My recommendation? if you like games and applications on hand then fine buy this.
If you just want a flash drive to backup and move stuff avoid U3.
buy it and uninstall U3
10/10 for build quality - this has been through my washing machine a couple of times with no ill effects. the only reason I didn't give it a 5* was because to the stupid U3 software that comes with it. I'd recommend buying this and immediately un-installing everything and formatting it to use as a normal drive.
